| At Atlantic Heritage Builders we understand that having a custom home built is a major investment. That is why our team is dedicated to walking you through each step of the process. We will work within your budget to make sure that you get the best value out of each dollar you invest.
Step 1: Find Your Land
You may already own a lot or maybe have your eye on a particular subdivision or city. Whether your concern is the neighborhood, nearby amenities, proximity to the highway, lot construction limitations or any other number of things, we can help you evaluate and find the perfect backdrop for your new home.
Step 2: Design Your Home
Have you already found a design that you have your heart set on or are you just starting to look? We can work with you on an existing design to determine whether it falls into your budget and make recommendations on improvements. Or, if you are just beginning your search, we have hundreds of plans for you to view. Of course, each plan can be modified to reflect your own personal taste and style and, if you desire, we can develop an entirety new concept to meet your requirements.
Step 3: Building Specifications
During the design process, Atlantic Heritage Builders will work with you to develop a set of specifications that detail every aspect of your new home. Your preliminary design and initial drafts of your specifications will be reworked as necessary to ensure your home is within budget. The final specifications will ensure that there are no surprises when your home is complete and are a great way for you to get a feel for exactly how your new home will look every step of the way.
Step 4: Construction
When we have both reviewed and agreed upon the building design, specifications and cost, we will formalize the contract and the construction process begins. Atlantic Heritage Builders works with some of the best suppliers and subcontractors in the area and we personally oversee the entire construction process. Each home we build is constructed with the highest quality materials so your home will endure and increase in value for generations to come.
Step 5: Inspection
During the construction process, in addition to our normal daily supervision, we conduct specific in depth inspections at critical milestones: foundation, framing, close-in after plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems are roughed in, and final walk through. These special inspections help to ensure that your new home will be free of problems. We also welcome the input of private inspectors if you choose to hire one.
Step 6: Move - In!
Prior to your move-in, we will carefully walk through your new home with you to
make sure everything is as you expected it to be and in excellent
working order. Our goal is to build you a home that will be
elegant, comfortable and worry free.
